Did you happen to see the interview with Magic Johnson on Inauguration Day? Magic (Earvin Johnson Jr.) is the former Los Angeles Lakers basketball great.Our new president, Barack Obama, loves basketball. There are rumors that he has said he wants to have Larry Bird (former Boston Celtics player) and Magic Johnson visit him at the White House to play a game of pick-up basketball.
The interviewer asked Magic if he would go. He responded that he would, of course.
Then he was asked if he would go easy on the new president.
Magic’s answer was priceless. He flashed his infectious smile and said, “If he goes easy on me with the taxes, I’ll go easy on him with the basketball.”
Don’t you love it?
